TVR Tour of Spain and Portugal

8-19 April 2026

Every year since 2004 a committed band of TVR owners have been searching for the best drives in Spain—we have always succeeded in finding roads which some say are as good as the Stelvio. Every year we stop off at the Circuito de Guadix for an exclusive trackday. Clive Greenhalgh who set up the circuit was a TVR dealer—we get a great reception. Lewis Hamilton, Alain Prost, Jake Hill, Damon Hill and Michael Schumacher have all driven here; There are no noise restrictions at Guadix Circuit
This is not a convoy drive trip, people drive at their own pace, with friends or alone as they wish, the roadbook gives a suggested route but there are no rules—all you have to do is get to the next hotel—have a convivial evening and get up the next day and do it all again! This year we have changed the mix again with stops at Toledo, Cordoba, the castle at Siguenza, pretty Almagro and historic Argomaniz

Good company, historic hotels and the best driving in Europe!

Wed 8 April Afternoon departure from Plymouth on Brittany Ferries Pont Aven
Thurs 9 April Arrive in Santander, then drive 150 miles to Lerma to stay in the Parador – the C17th Palace of the Dukes of Lerma. Dominating one side of the Plaza Major, Lerma is a great spot to start a Spanish Tour
Fri 10 April Drive 230 miles over the mountains to Toledo to stay at the Parador which has unique and breathtaking views over this world heritage City. There will be time to visit the Alcazar, the Cathedral, the El Greco collection or do some shopping!
Sat 11 April Drive 260 miles on lovely sweeping roads with outstanding views to Andalucia. We will be stopping for two nights at Hotel Hacienda Senorio de Nevada which is a wine themed hotel with a breathtaking view of the mountains.
Sun 12 April Trackday at Circuito MikeG at Guadix. We have the circuit exclusively booked for this trip and we may be joined by some local owners—no noise limits!
Mon 13 April Drive 120 miles to Cordoba. Home of the amazing Mezquita, we have two nights to allow you to explore the city and visit the Alcazar where the Catholic Monarchs, Ferdinand and Isabella, signed the papers to finance Christopher Columbus’ expedition
Wed 15  April Into the countryside—it’s 125 miles, largely on main roads, to get to Almagro. It’s a lovely little ex-convent in a small town next to Ciudad Real, a great place to chill
Thurs 16 April Drive 210 miles to Siguenza and its ancient fortress, in which we will be staying. The hotel has been extensively refurbished this year without losing its charm. The drive up via Tarancon and Canredondo has some great and largely deserted roads
Fri 17 April Drive 180 miles to the Parador at Argomaniz—the first part of this drive is stunning with miles of empty roads, after Logrono it’s through the Rioja, so every chance to stop at a winery to pick up supplies (try Marques de Riscal at Elciego) and then Argomaniz, where Napoleon spent his last night in Spain
Sat 18 April Drive 55 miles to Bilbao for a lunchtime embarkation on Brittany Ferries.
Sun 19 April Evening arrival at Portsmouth
