TVR Tour of Spain and Portugal

2027 will be the 24th year since 2004 when a committed band of TVR owners went searching for the best drives in Spain—they found roads which some say are as good as the Stelvio. Traditionally there is a track day at the Circuito de Guadix. Clive Greenhalgh who set up the circuit was a TVR dealer—we get a great reception. Hamilton, Prost, Jake Hill, Damon Hill and Schumacher have all driven here and the circuit is challenging, technical and safe There are no noise restrictions at Guadix Circuit!!
This is not a convoy drive trip, people drive at their own pace, with friends or alone as they wish, at a pace that suits them, the roadbook gives a suggested route but there are no rules—all you have to do is get to the next hotel—have a convivial evening and get up the next day and repeat! The mix changes every year and this year we’re going to Salamanca and stopping in Santander—new to TVRs

| Tues 6 April | Afternoon departure from Plymouth on Brittany Ferries Pont Aven |
| Wed 7 April | Late afternoon arrival in Santander, so just 30 miles to the little Palace by the river at Limpias. A great chance to get orientated and get to know the group |
| Thurs 8 April | Drive 200 miles over two great mountain passes to Burgos and then on to the ancient city of Segovia. People love it with its huge aqueduct, imposing Cathedral and castle that inspired Walt Disney |
| Fri 9 April | Another 200 miles to Almagro, a charming and sleepy little town south of Madrid—but it’s not that sleepy and 2026 participants wanted a return! |
| Sat 10 April | Now we’re going into the South and Andalucia with two nights at Durcal, just outside Granada and 45 mins drive to the circuit. People love this hotel—165 miles. Visiting the Alhambra is possible and the scenery!—Sierra Nevada is a serious mountain range |
| Sun 11 April | Trackday at Circuito MikeG at Guadix. We have the circuit exclusively booked for this trip and we may be joined by some local owners—no noise limits! |
| Mon 12 April | Drive 240 miles to Toledo for another two night stop. Toledo is a jewel of a world heritage city and the views and the city are amazing. So go to the Cathedral, or the army museum in the Alcazar or just chill in the winding streets |
| Wed 14 April | It’s 150 miles to Salamanca which is one of Spain’s most beautiful cities and we are staying in an ancient watermill which was once a monastery and visited by Christopher Columbus as he curried favour with the King and Queen |
| Thurs 15 April | Leon is pretty special too—so 130 miles will get us to a super city with a stylish 5* hotel in the centre which we are using ( don’t worry about the parking, there’s lots—all secure). Explore the ancient centre and find the bronze lion and the Gaudi building |
| Fri 16 April | Drive 160 miles to Santander and go to the Sardinero, the lovely beach area. Our hotel, the Chiqui, is the last hotel on the front and has amazing views over the bay—and super food |
| Sat 17 April | Drive 55 miles to Bilbao for a lunchtime embarkation on Brittany Ferries Galicia |
| Sun 18 April | Evening arrival at Portsmouth |

2026 is all about the Spanish Atlantic coast and we have stops along all of it from the border with France to the border with Portugal.
