Superdeportivos Cantabria

Superdeportivos Cantabria is the biggest Supercar event in Spain every year. In 2014 Drive Espana informally took part and since 2015 we have returned annually as full participants with a group of UK cars. We are looked after brilliantly and there is a car show, drive outs, receptions, gala dinners (with excellent food) and the chance to meet like minded owners as well as the car mad people of Santander and Cantabria. The event grows in numbers from when we join on Wednesday to the Saturday climax with up to 150 cars. No need to worry about language barriers—most people we meet speak some English and there is usually an English speaker with the organisers The Spanish really know how to party—and this is a great party!

| Mon 9 June | Evening departure from Portsmouth on Brittany Ferries Santona |
| Wed 11 June | Arrive in Santander and drive to Oviedo to meet our hosts for Lunch at the Palacio Neves and Dinner at the Hotel Reconquista |
| Thurs 12 June | Drive out and visit to the El Gaitero Cider makers, lunch at the Palacio Luces and the stay at the wonderful Mirador de la Franca on one of the best sandy beaches in Asturias |
| Fri 13 June | Today we visit the Caprichio de Guadi villa, eat lunch at El Pericote and check in to the Hotel Santemar in Santander before a black tie dinner at the Palacio de la Magdalena. Yes – it’s a real Palace |
| Saturday 14/ Sun 15 June | Morning car show in Santander and city Parade before lunch at MarMondo—a favourite restaurant walking distance from our hotel. We’re dining at the Casino and that’s closer!
On Sunday there will be a drive out around the bay to Itxaski—a stunning Basque seafood restaurant before our farewell dinner. Keep in touch for further activities |
| Mon 16 June/Tues 17 June | An 85 mile run to Cangas de Onis for two nights and the chance to visit the Fernanado Alonso museum in another part of Oviedo |
| Wed 18/ Thurs 19 June | 170 mile route through the Picos de Europa to the Parador at Fuente de for two nights at one of the highest points and next to the cable car |
| Fri 20 June | 105 miles to Limpias—a C19th Palace for our last night in Spain |
| Sat 21 June | Drive 35 miles for lunchtime departure from Bilbao on Brittany Ferries Galicia |
| Sun 22 June | Early Evening arrival at Portsmouth |

Price £5200 for a car and two occupants
Includes return ferry crossings from Portsmouth with twin outside cabin. Dinner bed and breakfast each day, organisation by SDC as well as support from Jasper Gilder as Tour Leader
Time short? Just do Superdeportivos and get a ferry home on 16 June £4200 or do week two leaving on the Pont Aven from Plymouth 15 June and returning with the group £2600
