Superdeportivos Cantabria

Superdeportivos Cantabria is the biggest Supercar event in Spain every year. In 2014 Drive Espana informally took part and since 2015 we have returned annually as full participants with a group of UK cars. We are looked after brilliantly and there is a car show, drive outs, receptions, gala dinners (with excellent food) and the chance to meet like minded owners as well as the car mad people of Santander and Cantabria. The event grows in numbers from when we arrive on Wednesday to the Saturday climax with up to 150 cars. No need to worry about language barriers—most people we meet speak some English and there is usually an English speaker with the organisers The Spanish really know how to party—and this is a great party!
| Sun 9 June | Evening departure from Portsmouth on Brittany Ferries Salamanca |
| Tues 11 June | Arrive in Santander and drive to Pamplona for a night at Castillo Gorraiz to get orientated |
| Wed 12 June | Spend the morning exploring Santander, then drive to San Sebastian to meet the event at the mountaintop Monte Igueldo—Brilliant views |
| Thurs 13 June | Today we visit the Eduardio Chillida sculpture park and make our way to Hotel Zubietaen Lekeitio near Bilbao |
| Friday 14/ Sat 15 June | Visit to a wineery, lunch at the Casa Garras before checking into the Hotel Santemar in Santander. Gala dinner with free bar and dancing at the Palacio de la Magdalena. On Saturday a car show in Santander – lunch at Marmondo on the beach (walking distance) and the evening at Vinoteca with a disco, canapes and free bar |
| Sun 16 June | A gentle drive out overlooking Santander bay and a boat trip on the bay, later a seafood lunch at Itxaski and later a farewell dinner |
| Mon 17 June | 180 miles to Corias in Asturias—two nights here to visit the Fernando Alonso Museum/chill! |
| Wed 19 June | 190 miles to Fuente de, two nights high in the Picos and close to the little town of Potes |
| Fri 21 June | 105 mile to Limpias—a C19th Palace for our last night in Spain |
| Sat 22 June | Drive 35 miles for lunchtime departure on Brittany Ferries Salamanca |
| Sun 23 June | Early Evening arrival at Portsmouth |

Includes return ferry crossings from portsmouth with twin outside cabin. Dinner bed and Breakfast each day, organisation by sdc as well as support from jasper gilder as tour leader.
